He was unable to recognize old friends that he had known for years, and often did not know where he was. The album artwork is iconic and was created by Audrey Powell & Storm Thorgerson, of Hipgnosis. They came up with a white light through a prism to form colors of the spectrum against a black background. His identity was realized after he’d left. The pressure of it all alienated him, and he built that wall around himself.
