I used to I am a slow runner dear God please let there be someone behind me shirt. Not so much that I was good at it, I just wanted to letter in a sport. I guess I wanted to show that even though I was a band geek, I was also an athlete. Kind of silly now at sixty five, but at thirteen, it was a big deal. I wasn’t just a band geek, I played trombone and was actually pretty good at it according to the director.
